Jimmy Asci is Founder and Co-CEO of Scale—a strategic advisory firm providing communications counsel to leading executives. The firm was founded in 2022 to position leaders navigating the challenges and opportunities of disruptive technologies, stakeholder activism and constantly shifting geopolitical dynamics.
For nearly 20 years, Jimmy has worked with many of the most high-profile organizations and individuals, providing expert counsel through moments of crisis and other special situations. He is widely considered one of the country’s most sought after communications advisors and has been a strategic advisor to dozens of CEOs and Founders including from Coca-Cola, Uber, IBM, Delta Airlines, Sony Music, Santander, WW and WeWork, among others.
Jimmy has also provided expert communications counsel to several high-profile not-for-profit and arts organizations, including American Ballet Theatre, The Juilliard School, International Center of Photography and the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
Before founding Scale, Jimmy was a Senior Managing Director and a member of the Executive Committee at Teneo, a global communications advisory firm. During his more than 6 years at the firm, Jimmy led many of the firm’s highest profile client engagements and counseled CEOs of several Fortune 500 companies around corporate communications, investor relations and media relations.
Jimmy also previously served as the Chief Communications Officer at WeWork in 2019. As a member of the company’s senior leadership team, Jimmy worked closely with the Founder & CEO and other senior leaders to refine the company’s narrative ahead of its proposed initial public offering. He led the global communications and public affairs teams, providing oversight of external, internal, financial and consumer communications, government relations and regional public affairs. Earlier in his career, Jimmy was the Chief Communications Officer at Sony Music Publishing. At Sony, Jimmy produced two Broadway shows, including the Tony Award winning musical, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical.
Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, with a concentration in International Relations, from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He serves on the Board of Directors of Callen-Lorde, the global leader in LGBTQ healthcare, and he lives in New York City with his husband.
